For anything related to my work at MIT, you can reach me at sbaltz {at} mit {dot} edu. For everything else, use sbaltz {at} umich {dot} edu. If you're not sure which applies, please default to the MIT email.

Very early in my career, I used to have an extremely hard time writing emails, because I didn't know how to address people. I would sit there for ages staring at the first line of every email draft trying to decide what to call somebody. In case you have that problem, let me be explicit. No matter who you are, if you are sending me professional correspondence, please either call me "Samuel" or "Dr. Baltz". I will be equally happy with either of those forms of address, and I like them both more than any other way of being addressed. Please don't take this as a general rule that applies to anyone else. This is just what I personally am asking for.
